HAPPY NEW YEAR SPECIAL – More Joy, Fulfilment, Delight And Abundance Than You Think Possible[2007-12-27 06:35:00]
Like walking up a mountain path for hours wearing a backpack you forget you’ve got on until you take it off and then feel light enough to float, this is the time of leaving behind all the dead weight of the past, all the outworn modes of operating, all the used up beliefs, all the redundant self-limiting blocks to enjoying yourself and all attachment to any situation or reality-set that no longer serves to encourage your full flowering as an individual in terms of self-expression and sphere and scope of activity and influence: it’s time to leave it all behind. It’s always time to leave it all behind in any case but with the annual illusion of year-end, new-year-beginning upon us, you have an official mandate to do so now. And if all this seems too abstract, too theoretical, use your body as the kinetic metaphor and take a moment to indulge in first shrugging, then fully dropping your shoulders with a large sigh and, as you do, feel yourself relinquishing your grip on all that’s gone before, in order to clear space for the new and then repeat that frequently leading up to New Year’s Eve.
And on New Years Eve, as the seven turns into an eight, albeit these digits are arbitrary and comprise merely a game we collectively play with the illusion of linear time, having dispensed with any obligatory mindless kissing and shrieking, open your arms into a wide-open embrace, contemplate the new good that is coming your way in a thousand different guises and welcome it with all your heart and soul.
There’s no doubt external conditions are set to become tougher as the world goes through its inevitable upheavals of transformation, so be sure to welcome in a palpable increase of strength in all its aspects, along with flexibility, imagination, daring and originality, for times of greatest crisis are simultaneously times of greatest opportunity and you need all the strength, flexibility, imagination, daring and originality you can access to be optimally poised, both to take full advantage of the opportunities coming your way and to remain inwardly centred and in command of yourself and thus attain to unshakable peace in the midst of the maelstrom.
Like this you become a pillar of equilibrium for everyone around you and the more equilibrium the better chance we have of collectively thriving rather than tipping into total global pandemonium.
Let all this pass through your mind as you stand with arms in wide-open embrace, then slowly lower them, say, ‘bring it on,’ and carry on as you were.
Happy New Year. May it bring you more joy, fulfilment, delight and abundance than you think possible.
Love, Doc
